About

Noor Hamdan, LSW, is a psychotherapist with extensive experience providing mental health services in outpatient, community-based, and hospital settings. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan, including young children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and older adults.

Noor has experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy, supporting clients through a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship and family concerns, and interpersonal difficulties. She is committed to creating a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to achieve meaningful personal growth.

Therapeutic Approach

Noor primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while integrating evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, cognitive reframing, solution-focused interventions, and strengths-based techniques. She works collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthy coping strategies, and build resilience to overcome life's challenges.

In addition to her outpatient experience, Noor currently provides crisis intervention services in a hospital emergency department, working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing acute mental health crises. She is dedicated to ongoing professional development and strives to provide culturally responsive, evidence-based care that promotes healing, empowerment, and social justice.
