About:
Noor Hamdan is a therapist who is a Licensed Social Work from the state of New Jersey. Noor has a substantial history of working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric who suffer from mental health. Noor has worked in substance use and trauma. Noor has experience working in the ER as a psychiatric counselor and in outpatient and inpatient settings. Noor is committed to serving those who suffer from mental health to help individuals return to their previous daily functioning before the mental health episode.
Approach:
Noor utilizes the focus of Cognitive Behavioral Health Therapy (CBT) to help individuals to be motivated and overcome their mental health challenges. Noor utilizes the approaches of motivational interviewing, cognitive reframing, refocusing, and positive affirmations. Noor is currently working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in the ER to help serve individuals in crisis. Noor’s goal is to continue to strengthen her clinical skills, and serve the mental health population with the most efficient care through empowerment and social justice.
