Victoria is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the State of New Jersey and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology. She has experience across a range of mental health settings, including partial care day programs (PHP), community-based services, outpatient treatment, and school-based environments. She integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Victoria tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, meeting them where they are and fostering a warm, compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
Approach:
Victoria’s work is primarily informed by the teachings of Carl Rogers, an American psychologist and founder of Person-Centered Therapy (PCT). She views clients as the experts of their own lived experiences and grounds her work in unconditional positive regard, along with genuine and accurate empathic understanding. Victoria believes that meaningful, effective counseling begins with a trusting and collaborative relationship, and she strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to engage in deep, lasting change.
