Biography:
Angela is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey. She earned her Master’s of Arts Degree in Addictions Counseling from Montclair University. Angela has worked in various settings and with diverse populations, helping individuals with mental health issues and substance use disorders. Her experience includes working with geriatric clients, victims of violent crimes, sexual assault survivors, families, children, individuals seeking detox, and those in recovery from substance use. Currently, Angela works full-time at a community healthcare outpatient facility in Belleville, NJ, providing crisis counseling, bilingual counseling services, and addiction counseling to individuals ranging in age from 6 to 80. Before becoming a counselor, Angela gained experience working in mobile crisis and an inpatient substance use rehabilitation facility. It was during this time she discovered her passion for helping others. Angela's preferred clients include adolescents, young adults, and older adults, but she is also willing to work with younger children. She specializes in treating addictions, adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, and other life transitions.

Angela values the importance of self-determination and strives to create a safe and supportive environment for her patients to explore their emotions and experiences. Her clinical approaches include Cognitive Behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, REBT, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, verbal therapy, and a strengths-based approach.
