About:
Denisse is a Licensed Social in the states of New Jersey and New York. She obtained her master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. Denisse has experience working in diverse settings and working with diverse populations. She has experience working with children/families, victims of violent crimes, individuals experiencing medical issues such as dialysis, and other life-changing circumstances. Currently working for an outpatient behavior health clinic in The Bronx providing mental health services for children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults. Before entering the field of social work, Denisse worked in a foster care agency as a case manager assisting families in the reunification process.
Approach:
Denisse enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and older adults. Denisse specializes in adjustment disorder, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Denisse believes in meeting the patients where they are, respecting self-determination, and guiding them through life situations. Denisse’s clinical approaches stem from utilizing Cognitive Behavior therapy, verbal therapy, and a strengths-based approach.
